Descrição

Set in a world teetering on the edge of chaos, this graphic novel explores the deep and often tumultuous backstories of two iconic characters from the original saga. The grim narrative unfolds, diving into the morally ambiguous lives of the Comedian and Rorschach, revealing their intertwined fates and the values that drive their actions.

Brian Azzarello's writing weaves a dark tapestry of violence, betrayal, and philosophical conflict, while Lee Bermejo's striking artwork brings the gritty reality of their universe to life. Together, they craft a narrative that probes the philosophical questions of justice and morality, painting a stark picture of vigilante justice gone awry.

As the characters grapple with their own demons, readers are taken on a whirlwind journey through the events that shaped them into the figures they are known for. Layers of complexity emerge, prompting reflection on the nature of heroism and the fabric of society itself.

This prequel sheds light on their tragic developments, revealing how the past inevitably shapes the future, and challenging readers to confront the unsettling truths about human nature. The journey is not just one of action, but a profound exploration of identity, choice, and the shadows lurking within the human soul.

I liked it. The comedians story fell behind Rorschach in my opinion but the two were still well done. Getting past the cash grab from DC they were still good.Rorschach's story made me feel like I missed out on what could have been a great series on his own had the watchmen not been created and they kept true to the character. These books have been given alot of scrutiny for why they made them but they arent that bad. There was alot of people out there left wanting more from the Watchmen but it ended without a real way to go on. So they went backwards, makes sense to me.
