A ver, sé lo que iba a encontrar al querer leer este libro. Pero una cosa es leer una historia erótica con sentido y otra... pues esto.No entiendo cómo surge el amor en la pareja si solo se está hablando de s**xo. Vamos, que es que prácticamente todas las interacciones giran en torno al deseo se**ual, ¿cómo me vas a decir que ya con eso estás enamorada?Es que sinceramente, el protagonista masculino me parece bastante red flag además de un poco inmaduro para la edad que en teoría tiene.Me cansa bastante que alrededor del 70% del libro sean escenas guarras con lenguaje sucio y denigrante para la mujer en varias ocasiones.(Aclaro que esto es una opinión mía subjetiva). Repito que sé a lo que iba, pero esperaba un poquito más de historia y un romance que sea algo más que deseo se**ual, vaya.

Not for listening to in public but ended up being a good story
Took me almost a month to get through this. The spice was there but it was very repetitive in both spice and the whole “we want this, but can’t do it, but we want it!” thing. Glad I finished it but I won’t be continuing the series.
This is my 2nd read, I keep coming back bc I love Colt Wilder and this whole series. 🥹✨🩷
Mm mm mmmm Daddy Wilder and Layla were hot! Colt is her ex boyfriend’s dad and also her new obsession. This grumpy man softened for her which had me swooning and the forbidden nature of the story was interesting to read about because it had elements of self reflection where the characters were questioning themselves because of their feelings but it also had tension rolling in waves and that made this book so good!This was a great small town cowboy romance and had a good amount of spice sprinkled into this book. A slow burn but once the burn started it burned bright. I would rate this one 3.5 chilli peppers out of 5. I would definitely recommend!
Mixed feelings. It was a bit overly gratuitous at the expense of the plot. The characters were likeable, and the emotion was there. BUT most of the character development was around their past traumas, but the extent of the trauma wasnt really disclosed. The FMC was studying to be a veterinarian, they were literally on a ranch full of animals, and there was only 1 scene where she was doing anything veterinarian-like. She did a lot of cleaning horse stalls. There were missed opportunities that could have made this both spicy and also good instead of spicy and just fine.
I didn't intend on reading a cowboy romance book but once again I was somewhat tricked into reading it. I mean look at that cover artwork? I was convinced it was some kind of cowboy thriller but now I'm only noticing the flowers but I digress... Let's get this review started shall we?So before I even started this book, the little disclaimer at the start immediately says to me that this is a cowboy romance and I silently hold my fist to the air saying my friend's name followed by a potential expletive but I'm not one to run away so we begin the book.This book starts out pretty cliché in terms of how meet cute kinda stories go, not that that's a bad thing mind you but just an observation. I did find the main female character to start off with was written to be pretty strong and someone that can hold her own which I really liked.The story for this book has a very similar feel to another book I read recently but where this book sets itself apart is how good a job it slowly builds on the tension between the 2 main characters. On top of this, it paints a vivid picture of Devil's Peak and you feel like you can really imagine how amazing it must look.There are enough little twists that help keep the story interesting but it never gets to a point of being a really annoying cliché like you get in teen movies and the way things are resolved by the end was exactly how I prefer these stories to end.Anyway this was a great book and well worth the read for anyone wanting to read a cowboy romance.Oh and there's sex. Like 4 chapters in a row of it.
