It’s November 1995. A woman is abducted from the red-light area in Hull; her body is found on the Foreshore near the Humber Bridge the next day. She is apparently the seventh victim of a serial killer, preying on sex workers in Hull.
DCI Michael Holmes, newly promoted and transferred, must identify the victim and find the killer. But what is the link between the murders and the mutilation of livestock in North Yorkshire? His investigations lead from the historic port city of Hull to the beautiful North Yorkshire moors. Who or what are responsible for the animal mutilations? What is the link with an organisation known only as ‘Eight’?
Michael must race against time to prevent the killer from striking again.
