Hocus Corpus

In less than two weeks four patients unexpectedly die from “superbugs” at the Pittsburgh University Medical Center. At first no one believes it is anything more than a terrible coincidence. But when Surgical Chief Resident Jack Merlin loses a nine-near-old girl to a deadly infection during a minor procedure, he turns the hospital upside down searching for an explanation.

Merlin discovers the five patients had only one thing in common: the same insurance carrier. As he digs deeper he finds himself at odds with hospital administrators as well as murderous thugs who try to take him and his girlfriend Tory Welch down before they uncover the grisly truth.
