Illuminati: The Stigma Order

The notorious Bavarian Illuminati were originally a group of keen social innovators. Their plans for a better world were only later interpreted as part of the global conspiracy we are all familiar with.
Peggy Pawlowski unravels the myths that have developed over more than two centuries, offering the first serious history of the Order. Based on original research into Illuminati documents, this account challenges the misconceptions that have surrounded this secret society since its discovery. Illuminati presents the Order as a brainchild of the Enlightenment. Based on the order's educational mission, it uncovers how a failed social experiment was dragged centre-stage during a time of political unrest that shook the Old and New Worlds alike.
