It's Just Happened

What would you do if the last years of your life and memories were just fading away?

Santo wakes up in one of the toilets of La Scala in Milan after being electrocuted by a faulty light switch. Santo is a successful manager, the director of the Milanese branch of a multinational advertising company, and has built his fortune on a mixture of personal ruthlessness and political skill. But Santo doesn’t remember any of this. The electric charge has wiped out the last years of his life and his memories go back to when he was a twenty-year-old cocaine peddler and thief, a man who has never seen a cellphone, who has never heard of the euro or the Iraq war, who doesn’t know how to use the internet or the platinum credit cards that he finds in his pocket. The old Santo doesn’t know how and when he switched from criminal to a productive member of society, but he is happy to find himself in the shoes of the new one. He has lots of money, he has a luxury house with a Filipino maid and he has a brand new sports car. The problem is that someone is trying to kill him, and the police are investigating him about a murder he doesn’t know he committed. To discover the truth, Santo will have to search the black hole of his forgotten past…
A provocative crime novel by one of the most innovative Italian thriller writers.
