Poppy Wyatt has never felt luckier. She is about to marry her ideal man, Magnus Tavish, but in one afternoon her "happily ever after" begins to fall apart. Not only has she lost her engagement ring in a hotel fire drill but in the panic that follows, her phone is stolen. As she paces shakily around the lobby, she spots an abandoned phone in a trash can. Finders keepers! Now she can leave a number for the hotel to contact her when they find her ring. Perfect! Well, perfect except that the phone's owner, businessman Sam Roxton, doesn't agree. He wants his phone back and doesn't appreciate Poppy reading his messages and wading into his personal life. What ensues is a hilarious and unpredictable turn of events as Poppy and Sam increasingly upend each other's lives through emails and text messages. As Poppy juggles wedding preparations, mysterious phone calls, and hiding her left hand from Magnus and his parents . . . she soon realizes that she is in for the biggest surprise of her life.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHThis book made me so happy - I was on the train yesterday grinning like a lunatic. It's perfect.---------------I've had a couple minutes to catch my breath, and I think I can just about muster an actual review. Though, aside from 'It's perfect,' there isn't really much I can say. I LOVE Jayne Entwhistle and thought she gave life and charm to each character in this book. She didn't ignore any nuance for minor characters, and even if you only meet them once or twice, you get an entire backstory from their tone alone. This was my first ever book by Sophie Kinsella, and it won't be my last. She has a knack for inspiring absolute giddiness, which makes her books (well, this one, anyway) addictive. I never wanted to stop listening to this. Every time I had to be an adult and pause the book to work, answer the phone, or talk to my husband, I paused begrudgingly (sorry, babe). Sure, the plot was a bit ridiculous at times, but that's part of why I loved it so much. Besides. No one reads romance for realism, anyway. It's an A+ from me, and now I have to try desperately to find another book that will make me just as happy.
