Our Reckless Summer: Where Vows Defy the Finality of Forever

THE MOST RECKLESS VOW IS THE ONLY ONE THAT MATTERS

Rory Jensen is chaos wrapped in a fast car. She breaks rules, pushes limits, and now, thanks to a judge, she's stuck serving community service hours at the town’s quiet historical archive—the last place she wants to be.

Then she meets Clara Bellamy.

Clara is the opposite of reckless. She’s brilliant, precise, and lives by a strict schedule of calm and quiet. A dangerous secret diagnosis—Aplastic Anemia—means every spike of adrenaline, every reckless joy, could be fatal. Their lives are set on parallel, impossible tracks, forcing them to make a desperate no closeness, no emotion, and absolutely no falling in love.

But Rory’s instinct for destructive chaos quickly transforms into a desperate need for absolute commitment. When Clara collapses, Rory stops running from responsibility and starts fighting for her life, using every resource she has to build her love a safe place to breathe.

To defy time, illness, and despair, they rush toward one final, impossible a secret wedding and a vow of 'always', even if their always lasts only a summer.

They made a promise that defied death. But when their wedding night ends in an emergency room, Rory must prove that her love is mature enough to choose the ventilator over the wedding bed.
