Theo Silva, the man that you are. His patience and love for Winter is the cutest, the way that he defends her from the beginning to anyone that is rude to her. Winter is so sweet underneath and its sad how unsure she is of herself when she is so caring. Vivi is so cute and the way that Theo fully takes on being on a father straight away is adorable. Their whole family is so wholesome and cute.
3.5When I first meet Winter in Flawless and then find out she has her own book I genuinely considered skipping a book for the first time. It is only because I can't read a series out of order that made me read it and I was pleasantly surprised. Winter was not what I expected her to be. She had layers I wasn't expecting. Her back story made so much sense especially when it comes to her dad and Summer. I definitely think Kip over compensated with Summer due to her mom leaving and Kips wife hating her on principle and that in turn caused him to not build a proper relationship with Winter. I think the ones that suffered the most were Winter and Summer. Summer may have had her dad but she didn't really have her sister and even though she was her moms favourite Winter didn't really have anyone, well to her she didn't, but Summer didn't hold anything Winter said against her. I wish Rob got more of a punishment, he shouldn't be a doctor with what he did to Summer.Now as for that 18 month time jump... That was ridiculous as well as the fact that for those 18 months Theo wasn't around when he was before. That and the fact that literally NOONE said anything about Winter and the baby even in passing made no sense at all in my opinion. Especially as the first dinner together Harvey announces that the baby looks like Theo.Now Theo having a pop at Rhett for Rhett saying he doesn't know how to feel about Winter made me mad as Rhett had his reasons based on how Winter treated Summer for years, now yes she had her reasons but Theo automatically taking Winters side with no facts from either side really annoyed me.I did find this book more enjoyable than I was expecting and a lot more than Powerless.
oh god, Theo Sliva, the man you freaking are!!!this book is my second read for Elsie Silver, but i know it's my favourite onemy sweetheart, Winter☹️the way i relate to her is so strong it disturbed me a little, I truly understand the way she felt about anyone and herself, the way she was questioning everything and everyone, the way so was so confusedTheo, ughhh, saying I love him would be an understatement, this man and his confidence hehehehe, had me giggling all the time!!the way he loves her with all her flaws and confusion, with all her woundshe loved her when everybody else misunderstood her and her strugglesthe way he took her in, and Vivi was heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time because he missed a lot with them, but he didn't give them up. He didn’t run away from his responsibilities
Maybe because I already have kids and don't love a surprise pregnancy trope or because the MMC has the same name as my son, but this one was good but not great for me.
