Ver TodosDamn the first book wasn't great but what was this?No plot till the last 20% and then the worst plot points I could imagine. I hated where this book went. I was going to dnf but changed my mind and now wish I had.I disliked the characters, the smut, the plot. I hope to have better luck on a different book of hers.
The Cursed was an absolute whirlwind of betrayal, passion, and redemption. Harper L. Woods has a way of crafting characters and relationships that leave you utterly consumed, and this book is no exception. The tension between Gray and the heroine is electric—one moment they’re at odds, and the next, their connection sets the page on fire. It’s a love-hate dynamic filled with longing, heartbreak, and undeniable chemistry that had me hooked. The stakes are impossibly high, with the heroine torn between protecting her Coven and navigating the devastating betrayal that upended her world. What stood out most was her growth—coming to terms with her past, facing the consequences of her choices, and finding strength even in the face of overwhelming odds. The plot weaves betrayal, revenge, and destiny into a story that’s impossible to predict. Every twist and revelation left me gasping, especially as the threads of her and Gray’s shared history unraveled. The world-building is rich and immersive, with magic, danger, and secrets lurking in every shadow. If you love dark, intense fantasy romance with morally complex characters and a story that grips you from the first page, The Cursed is a must-read. It’s a book that lingers in your mind long after you’ve turned the last page!
