The story of Katie Lapp in 'The Shunning' is...heart-breaking, and sad. I loved this story, even still. The story of an English blood Amish woman...who so wants to be English and sing. Though in order to do so she has to do the only thing she could, and that ended with her being shunned, and it all started with a little dress. I some how knew that Daniel was alive...and I am looking forward to reading the rest of this series--this is the only Beverly Lewis' book I have read. I hope Katie finds her birth mother before she dies, and that her and Daniel get back together, and all ends well. Though, I don't think all of that will happen.
