Emma Jane has a secret that she has shared with only a few people. One of the last to know, her previous boyfriend, turned violent when he found out the truth about her. Emma Jane is really a pre-op transsexual named Richard.
Admiral Walter D. Hunting (retired) is a lonely widower that has hired Richard to be his chauffeur. While out walking the grounds of his estate, he catches a stunning view of Richard's "sister", Emma Jane taking their sailboat out for a spin.
