Ver Todos⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (4.5)Grim Tidings is such a fun, albeit emotional, paranormal romance. I absolutely loved being back in the Ghosted world, and this was the perfect start to my fall TBR!First of all, the atmosphere was perfect—small-town charm, pumpkin-filled fall vibes, and just the right amount of paranormal magic. Plus, the premise as a whole? A reaper meets a guardian angel… and she’s the reaper? I was SAT for this entire book.I also loved the way this story makes you reflect on life, death, and love. There are some surprisingly deep and introspective moments woven throughout the romance that really made this story stand out to me.I adored Darcy and Gabriel and their journey from enemies, to a tentative truce, to something more as they slowly came to understand each other on a deeper level. Their dynamic was one of my favorite parts of the book! Another highlight was getting to see a little bit of Nolan and Harriet again. After already loving Good Spirits, Grim Tidings only made me fall even harder for this world. I sincerely hope there are more books to come because I am officially obsessed with this series! If you love paranormal romance with a little holiday/fall atmosphere mixed in, this is the perfect series to add to your fall TBR. Even better, each book can be read as a standalone!Tropes: Guardian Angel x Reaper • Enemies to Lovers • She Has a List, He’ll Help Her With It • Tentative Truce • Animal Companion • Small Town • Found Family
I don’t even know where to start because I absolutely loved this book.I was hooked by the middle of Chapter 2. Like, fully hooked and obsessed. I loved the premise of this book from the very beginning. One word… DARCY. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so emotionally connected to a character so quickly. She had me feeling things almost immediately. I’m talking throat-tight emotional. I felt for her, I related to her, and that connection to Darcy was probably what hooked me in so quickly. Honestly though, I was hooked on every character. Every time someone new showed up, I found myself wondering who they were going to be to the story and immediately needing to know more. I loved that feeling of slowly figuring out how everyone fit into this world and what their stories were going to mean.As someone who has read B.K. Borison’s other books, I loved the little connections sprinkled throughout this one. The connection to Good Spirits is much more intentional than just a few Easter eggs, and I loved being back in that world. There were also these tiny nods to her other books, too. The radio station from the Heartstrings series and even a little Lovelight Farms sticker. That Lovelight Farms reference especially got me because that was the first B.K. Borison series I ever read, so seeing that little nod felt like such a fun full-circle moment. I love when authors reward readers who have been along for the ride, and these little connections made the whole world feel even more special. Now I’m left with the most important question… who is the next book about?! I have theories, I have questions, and I desperately hope I know who we’re following next because I am already invested. This was such a fun, emotional, whimsical read, and exactly the book I wanted it to be. I loved the premise, I loved the characters, I loved all the little connections, and most importantly, I loved how this book made me feel.Five stars. Easily.B.K. Borison, you’ve done it again. Now please stop making me want to move to Maryland. Or actually… don’t.
