Born in Barcelona in 1918, she became a significant figure in the literary scene, known for her contributions to Catalan literature during a time of political turmoil. Her works often explored themes of identity, freedom, and the female experience, reflecting her commitment to social justice and equality. In 1968, she gained critical acclaim with her novel 'Un lloc entre els morts', which won the prestigious Premi Sant Jordi.
