This volume was EXHAUSTING.
The final battle is basically just everyone throwing absolutely everything they have at Eren, and somehow it keeps getting worse.
I genuinely don't know how Isayama managed to make me feel sympathy for so many characters on completely opposite sides of this conflict.
Reiner especially continues to break my heart. This man has been suffering for YEARS.
And the Paths sequences are just... insane.
The whole idea of Eren's motivations, Ymir's connection to everything, and the way the past and future have been intertwined makes the ending feel like something the series has been building toward from the very beginning.
I'm also getting that horrible feeling that there isn't going to be a happy ending.
And I am NOT emotionally prepared.
