Carnival

The summer before high school is always a special one, but for me and my friend it would be much more than that. Into our town a carnival comes, and of course we’re there to usher it in. We both catch on for a summer job, and off we go on the road ahead. Eight different towns lie down our path and eight adventures will soon unfold. What they are I won’t reveal, but in these pages the tales are told. And the carny itself, what about that? The great Harry Davis leads the way. He’s a man of the world, bigger than life, almost as bold, and just as uncertain. And what of the gypsies—who are these mysterious women and what do they hide? We’re not even sure that we want to find out, but only fun is on our minds and real adventure is what we will find, because after all, there’s always something new when the carnival comes to town.
