I thought I was in love with my best friend. Turned out, I was in love with someone else instead.

My best friend broke my heart.
I try convincing myself that he’s who I’m meant to be with when secretly, I’m thankful he broke things off between us.
There’s someone else but he never notices me staring, hoping, longing for him.
When he finally comes around, after I make the first move, sparks explode but I have to tell myself that it’s just a one-time thing.
Especially when he’s my best friend’s father.
