Jack and the Time Crystal: A SUMMER OUT OF TIME

Ten-year-old Jack is an amateur magician with one unbreakable if it says “DO NOT TOUCH,” he has to touch it.

So when his mom suddenly flies off to Texas for the summer, Jack gets shipped to Long Island to live with a grandfather he’s never met—a grumpy, tool-hoarding inventor who treats “childproof” like a personal insult.

Jack expects endless boredom. Dust. Maybe a toaster explosion or two.

What he doesn’t expect is the garage.

Hidden inside is a strange metal detector pulsing like a heartbeat… a crystal that hums like it’s alive… and a story Grandpa insists is “too true to be safe.”

When Jack accidentally flips the switch, he discovers the device doesn’t just find lost coins.

It finds lost moments.

Lost people.

Lost time.

And someone Jack loves might not be as gone as everyone believes.

With a stubborn grandfather, a mother full of secrets, and a crystal that seems to understand him better than most humans do, Jack is pulled into an adventure that tests his courage, his curiosity, and the one rule he’s never

Do. Not. Touch. Anything.

Perfect for fans of The Last Kids on Earth, Amari and the Night Brothers, and A Wrinkle in Time, Jack and the Time Crystal is a fast-paced, funny, big-hearted story about family, hope, and the kind of magic that doesn’t disappear—it waits.

Because sometimes magic isn’t a trick.

Sometimes it’s a spark that changes everything.
