Посмотреть все♠️4.25 stars🃏Legendary is way better than Caraval?? After the first book, I almost wanted to DNF the series but Legendary was a great book, so I'm glad I didn't.🫰Tella's character growth and self-discovery felt satisfying to see.👍I liked Stephanie Garber's writing -- pacing, prose and worldbuilding were all good.👍I liked getting introduced to Jacks, and the love triangle was interesting to read about.👌I don't mind, but the gap between Legendary and Caraval left me a bit stunned -- Stephanie Garber originally wrote Caraval as a standalone, then turned it into a series, which was why Caraval focused on Caraval itself, whereas Legendary and Finale focused more on fates and the Deck of Destiny.👎I didn't like how some scenes felt... underwhelming, such as the reveal of Legend's true identity.👎Scarlett's character felt inconsistent -- too forgiving to Julian, and making reckless, irrational decisions which felt out-of-character. She went from sensible and mature to making hasty decisions that don't bode well.
This was a good continuation of the series. I like that we switched to Tella's POV in this book, as it really showed how much the sisters were drifting apart and how little they understood each other despite wanting to be closer. Curious to see how the story will wrap up.
I'm glad I decided to continue even if I didn't like the last 20~25% of Caraval. This one was better and a lot more enjoyable for me!I really liked Donatella as protagonist, her POV is more enjoyable than Scarlett's...
