Peter Blake Alphabets

The 224 page book Peter Alphabets, has been created by Douglas Wilson, a graphic design lecturer in the university's School of Art and Design, and features 18 previously published and unpublished alphabets produced by Sir Peter.Sir Peter - who was behind the iconic design of the Beatles' album Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - has had a love of letters since the beginning of his artistic life and produced his first alphabet in 1991, a set of bold and colourful silkscreen prints representing each letter. Many more followed, including one created from Polaroid images, one which he sculpted and one created from objects he found and collected.
