had sooo much fun with this one!! so many people complain about era 2 because it’s so unlike era 1 but guys ... it’s literally sets hundreds of years later. read the author’s note pls 😭wax and wayne were such entertaining characters, literally never a dull moment with either of them. we get into the bones of the story and the mystery so quickly, and it’s so fast paced, that you just turn pages without realizing you’re going through so many!! i didn’t love the little romance element just because i feel like i know how it’s going to go so it annoyed me a bit, but that’s such a minor part of the book that it didn’t hinder the experience at all.now to decide which cosmere book to read next because at this point i fear i’m just making my own reading order?? i want to continue having sm fun with these characters but words of radiance & warbreaker are staring me in the face 🧍🏼‍♀️

4.5 stars This is better than book 1 of series 1. you can see the improvement in Sanderson's writing.

Took a little linger to get going. Introduced a lot of new without little clarification unlike the first part of the series, but once it got going was just as good as the first series
