Tempting the Devil

A journalist and an FBI agent team up to bring down a cop killer in master storyteller Patricia Potter’s thrilling and seductive novel of romantic suspense Atlanta journalist Robin Stuart has never seen a dead body before. Murder is a rarity in scenic, tranquil Meredith County. Now three cops lie on the ground of an overgrown property slated for private development. Each one was handcuffed and killed, execution style, by a bullet to the back of the head. This could be the story that makes Robin’s career—but she can’t stop thinking about the families of the victims.   FBI agent Ben Taylor isn’t a team player and doesn’t trust the media. Although the triple homicide is out of the FBI’s jurisdiction, he is convinced that the murders are connected to Hydra, the Southern Mafia crime ring he’s been investigating. Robin may have valuable information, but the beautiful reporter will never reveal her source—until her relentless digging brings both sides of the law after her. As unwanted desire flares, Ben must protect Robin from cold-blooded killers determined to keep the true story from ever seeing the light of day.
