When Brandy Merrill left her home ten years ago it was under a barrage of accusations and a myriad of guilt. Carrying around the shame of having had an affair with a married man, her boss and Deputy Mayor Mark Hudson, Brandy tried her best to put as much distance between her and her old life as possible.

What she didn’t realize was that she was carrying with her a reminder of her time spent in Mark’s arms.

When Brandy has to return home years later for her sister’s wedding she finds herself, once again, in the sights of Mark, now the Mayor. Conflicted over her feelings for her ex-lover and the father of her child, Brandy must decide if Mark’s declarations of love are genuine or just more jargon.
