One day in 2011 as Tom is taking the trash out to the curb, he falls and lands as his teenage self back in 1983. Now he has daily challenges like if he should try to change the future to make his life better or if he should let things remain the same. Add in this mix Kelly and Mandy, his closest friends, and the confusion of what to do at times overwhelms Tom.
