Описание

Physicist, novelist and editor of Analog Magazines for over three decades, Stanley Schmidt has been stirring up debate through his lively editorials---challenging readers to rethink positions on such subjects as art, artificial intelligence, what makes us human, future changes, education, the environment and extraterrestrial life. A collection of some of these delightful articles, WHICH WAY TO THE FUTURE? presents ideas and opinions that have made Analog, as the author states proudly, "an argumentative magazine."

"Stan Schmidt's Analog editorials enlighten, enrage, entertain and educate."
- Robert J. Sawyer, bestselling sf author of THE TERMINAL EXPERIMENT

"His editorials have been intriguing and often deliberately provocative..."
- Michael F. Flynn, author of EIFELHEIM

"Stan Schmidt's editorials are as delightful as they are informative and among the best entrees to tomorrow I know of."
- Paul Levinson

(re THE COMING CONVERGENCE) "No one can show the opportunities and dangers of the future better than Stanley Schmidt."
- Ben Bova
