Words in the Dark

Nora Cooper is still whirling from her husband’s recent death when she finds out that before being killed in a bank robbery, her husband Joe, Boston’s Chief Detective, sold their cottage in Martha’s Vineyard without telling her.

All her certainties are dashed. Everyone considered Joe a sincere, honest and loving man.
She had been loving him for thirty, happy, years of marriage. She still loves him.
But how could Joe have done this to her?
And who was he really?

While so many doubts torment her, Nora finds a mysterious and inexplicable message spelled out with Scrabble letters that no one else could have written. No one else but her husband...
Could those words actually come from the hereafter?
Could Joe have written to warn her about someone plotting against her?
Or is she suddenly losing her mind?

So starts a journey into a search for the truth that puts Nora’s life in danger and that finally leads her to the solution of a terrible mystery.

Maybe sometimes life is not what we think. But we just have to loose all our certainties to discover it.
