2.5 starsOne should not questions miracles too closely.Out of all the CC books I have ever read Chain or Iron has got to be my least favourite. I don’t think I’ve ever rated a CC book below 3 stars and this says a lot.Chain of Iron was so utterly underwhelming in terms of the plot. 600 pages and nothing was resolved, it was so stagnant. The lack of communication between James and Cordelia really annoyed me and I found Belial as the villain so boring. Don’t get me wrong, I do like James and Cordelia, but they really have to communicate better. ALSO LET’S NOT FORGET THE PART WHEN TATIANA COMMANDS GRACE TO TRY AND SEDUCE JESSE. I thought we were over incestuous things, guess not cause it’s CC… I really hope Grace does not follow through with Tatiana’s commands. The last chapter was so so disappointing. However, I did enjoy Grace’s backstory and it did make me like her SLIGHTLY more. I also enjoyed reading about Alastair and Thomas. Please don’t let anything happen to any of them. I also really liked the relationship between Lucie and Jesse. I also found the dynamic between James and Grace in the end very very satisfying. That was the only part that I did like in the last few chapters. I honestly don’t even have a lot to say because this book was such a letdown.
