Christmas Demon

Every year, Joni Sommerfeld dreads Christmas. Always the outsider, she’s eternally the butt of her family’s jokes and the recipient of their small cruelties. She arrives at Grandmother’s house for this year’s gathering, which happens to fall on Friday the 13th, hoping things will be different. But the insults and bullying begin all over again. Not till she accidentally breaks an antique Christmas ornament does she suddenly have someone on her side.

There’s a demon in the house, one that no one invited. Or maybe she did.
