Apesar de ter lido esse livro alguns anos atrás, não lembrava de nada e fui pega de surpresa em todas as reviravoltas.
De primeira, para mim, foi um pouco difícil de entrar dentro do tom do livro, demorei um tempo até realmente me conectar com a história. Até os 50% eu estava ainda lendo só porque não queria abandonar e não por VONTADE mesmo.
Porém, logo quando entramos na parte final, quando Jem decide levar a Tessa em um dos seus lugares favoritos, foi quando o livro começou andar para mim e eu fui ficando curiosa e devorei os capítulos seguintes.
Apesar de ter demorado a entrar no ritmo da história, foi um livro em que assim que eu pegava novamente para ler, eu lembrava de todos os acontecimentos dos capitulos anteriores, lembrava de todos os personagens e sua importância para história. Esse é um livro que, na minha opinião, não teve nenhuma lacuna preenchida com informaçoes desnecessários, que só estão ali para transformá-lo em um calhamaço e fingir que está criando profundidade.
Eu nunca tive nenhum contato com o universo da Cassandra Clare antes e, mesmo sendo um livro de introdução à um prequel, não senti que estava perdendo nada e pude compreender a história de forma fácil sem ter que ficar procurando sobre os outros livros - quais quero ler de surpresa e sem nenhum spoiler possível.
Eu gostei e acho que gostarei bastante dos próximos, se realmente tiver uma história para ser contada.
This was such an enjoyable read. The author made it easy to dive straight into the Shadowhunters universe and root for the characters. It's a very bingeable book, and I can't wait to start the second of the trilogy.
