Crazy Old Lady

Reprinted as "Crying For A Vision", B. Kay Barrett! By the age of sixteen, Brenda Barrett realizes the answers offered by traditional orthodox religion don’t satisfy the burning questions deep within her. Obsessed with questions about the nature of truth, existence, heaven, hell, and the purpose of her life, Barrett launches herself on a journey of exploration through multiple faith and spiritual practices. Grappling with issues of grief, abandonment, depression, and fear, Barrett turns to the Jehovah’s Witness tradition to soothe her soul. Instead of finding solace, Barrett is kicked out from the fellowship and forced to look beyond for answers. As her search takes her further into the heart of life’s universal questions—and farther from home—Barrett comes to understand the best source of meaning and hope for her life comes from the most surprising and yet obvious inside herself. An inspiring tale of one woman’s quest to better understand herself and her destiny, "Crazy Old Lady" offers hope and solidarity to others searching for their spiritual home in a chaotic and confusing world.Reprinted as "Crying For A Vision", B.
