My Rating: ★★★★★(Although spiritually this is ★★★★★★★★★★.)OMFG. What the fuck just happened?! Five stars feels inadequate. If Goodreads would kindly allow me to select ten, that would be fantastic because apparently Steph Macca looked at the level of insanity in Unhinged and thought, you know what? We can make this MORE fucked up. And she fucking DID.I already knew I was invested in this series after Unhinged, but Echoes took that investment and launched it into another dimension. My gob was SMACKED. The amount of plot twists, secrets and completely unexpected moments had me constantly questioning what the actual fuck was happening at Lilydale, and every time I thought I had some kind of understanding, Steph threw something else at me.The amount of times I physically gasped, giggled or stared into the distance trying to process what I'd just heard was ridiculous. Apparently it was also concerning enough that my fiancé eventually questioned what the fuck I was listening to, so naturally I explained the book to him. His response? “Seriously, you're into that?!” SIR. IN BOOKS. There is a very significant difference between what I enjoy from fictional men and what I would tolerate from an actual human being. Which brings me to Gray because... SIR. The possessiveness?! This man literally carved “mine” into Avery's inner thigh and apparently instead of being appropriately concerned, my brain went, well that's fucking hot. Again, FICTIONAL STANDARDS. Please don't use them to assess my mental wellbeing.And the dynamic between Avery, Gray and Theo?! I was already invested after the first book, but the THROUPLE ENERGY in Echoes had me absolutely fucking thriving. The possessiveness, jealousy and individual dynamics between all three of them while they're figuring out what the hell they are together? I ate that shit UP.But then we have DAMON.I'm sorry, SIR?! WHERE THE FUCK DID THAT COME FROM?! You hate Avery. YOU HATE HER. And then you go and do THAT?! My gob, which had already been smacked multiple times by this point, was once again somewhere on the fucking floor rolling towards the front door.And honestly, that's about as much as I can actually say because I have SO MANY more comments, but approximately 99% of them would spoil something. The plot twists in this book are insane, and every time another secret crawled out of whatever fucked-up corner of Lilydale Steph had hidden it in, I became even more obsessed.This series is dark, depraved, violent and completely fucking unhinged. The trigger warning list is approximately seventeen kilometres long, so PLEASE actually read it before going anywhere near this book. There are some seriously heavy themes amongst all my giggling and screaming, and this absolutely won't be for everyone.But if you read Unhinged and thought THAT was addictive?Oh, honey. You haven't seen shit yet.Steph Macca, I have significantly more things I'd like to say to you, but apparently spoilers prevent me from publicly screaming about most of them.So I'll settle for: WHAT. THE. FUCK?!

im rating this 4☆ purely because of the audiobooki will say Avery annoys me and gives me whiplash majority of the timeI like how tho we got to see both theo & grey!!!
