For the most part I liked the 2nd book more than the first, I think because I wasn't comparing it to Fourth Wing. I enjoyed the "adventures" that this book had, though I still felt like there could have been more world building and more character building. But, I was drawn in from the start, the pacing kept me completely enthralled in the story, and I'm looking forward to the next book. Was here parts that I didn't like? Yes That's literally true with every book though. Honestly, when I was just reading and only rating books so I'd remember if I liked them, and whether I liked them enough to reread them, or recommend them I overlooked those little things if they didn't affect my overall enjoyment of the book. Now I find myself thinking more about the little things, So would I reread this? Absolutely! Would I recommend it (to a romantasy reader) Absolutely!
