Beskrivning

King's Cage was unfortunately a bit of a letdown for me. I’ve enjoyed the series so far, but this instalment just didn’t live up to my expectations. Most of the book was painfully slow, with the plot crawling along and not much actually happening. Mare’s character, who I usually find strong and compelling, spent the majority of the book in captivity, which made her feel more passive and less interesting.Cal, on the other hand, was frustratingly indecisive throughout the story. His internal struggle could have added depth, but instead, it just made his character feel stuck and repetitive. Even the introduction of new perspectives, like Cameron’s, didn’t do much to liven things up—her sections felt more like filler than anything truly necessary. However, the last 15-20% of the book finally brought some much-needed excitement. The action kicked in, the stakes felt real, and the characters started to show the fire. It’s just a shame it took so long to get there. By the time things got interesting, I was already pretty disengaged.Overall, this book felt more like a bridge to the next instalment rather than a compelling story on its own, which has in all honesty made me think about whether to continue with the series or not. It has its moments, but they’re buried under a lot of dull, drawn-out narrative.

Okay....loved this book. It had its moments of being boring but not many. The ending was intense and beautiful and just so incredible!!

I had a hard time getting into the book like I did the other two books but I'm not going to ride a few times that my understood. What's going on? I was so enthralled that I had to like keep going, keep going and then I would get lost again. But the ending that ending oh my God. Are you kidding me? Like why can't she win?
