I had such a great time reading this series 📖 It's not perfect, but the pace at times literally runs - and that's exactly what I needed. It made me question every single character. I didn't trust anyone, not even the MCs - I was second guessing everything and I loved it for that. This also leads to a con though - the magic system isn't so well developed that it's not always clear what the full extent of each individual power actually is. The conclusion of Acker and Jo's story felt really rushed and left me a bit unsatisfied, although I'm looking forward to book 3!!
