Beskrivning

In a journey that spans over six transformative years, Lila Rose captures the essence of love's evolution in her latest narrative. The story unfolds with tender moments, highlighting the blissful days of romance that sparkle like new beginnings, characterized by the exhilarating feeling of being with one’s ideal partner—a knight in shining armor. As time progresses, however, the initial perfect image begins to shift, revealing the imperfections and vulnerabilities that lie beneath the surface.

Transitioning through four years, the narrative delves into the complexities of relationships as the once polished armor shows signs of wear. What was once effortless becomes a tapestry woven with challenges and growth. The author beautifully illustrates how love can be relentless yet rewarding, as the characters navigate the rougher patches that test their bond.

As the tale continues, it emphasizes the necessity of change and adaptation, mirroring the intricacies of real life. With every passing year, the protagonist learns valuable lessons about patience, understanding, and resilience amidst various personal and relational transformations.

Ultimately, Lila Rose invites readers to reflect on their own journey of love and growth, reminding them that both the bright shining moments and darker, more complicated times contribute to the strength of a lasting relationship. This exploration of love's multifaceted nature resonates deeply, encouraging a deeper appreciation for every stage of partnership.

#4.5 stars*** I voluntarily reviewed this book, I gained no monetary incentives nor was I specifically requested to review the book, these are my honest ramblings and I hope you enjoy reading them - kat***Well I spent most of last night and this morning reading this book, it was 3rd in line on my list but after the last book I finished, I just needed something light and funny.THIS was perfect for my mood.If you want a book where the heroine finally decides to live for herself, and not for the smuck she married straight out of college then this story is for you. Randell was a D!$Khead But Kenzie, boy when she found her courage then she was on a roll. I know this is a curvy girl story and I applaud Lila for going for a cover that reflects that, and I may be a skinny butt but I got how she felt, I have felt those feelings of doubt, low self-esteem and the nervousness of wondering if the hunk that is interested in me ... is really interested in ME, the skinny 'stick'. So Yeah I related well to her inner monolog. The book is a delight, I had a hard time not waking the hubby as I read into the early hours of the morning and at 71% I spat out my tea! thankfully while reading on my sofa alone LOL.We don't get to delve deep into Grayson's personality, we get a bit of background, but Lila has mostly focused on this being Mackenzie's story, and that was fine.. I guess the reason I gave it a 4.5 star was I really didn't think it needed all the love scenes, as I loved the build up and tension that occurs in the main part of the book as the romance builds, and of course the stereotypical women who were Grayson's Ex's Harpy ( lol I did love her nickname, she was well suited to it though)SO if you are wanting a light rom-com that has a lovely story, some seriously funny scenes then grab a copy and jump in.
