I will definitely be reading more by Peter Swanson! This was such a fun, twisty, cat and mouse read. With 3 very distinctive parts- each introducing new characters and a new twist- it felt like 3 separate stories woven together, pulling you along for a wild ride. The characters are all psychotic in their own ways but you kinda love them anyway. Lily feels like the female Joe (from You). You know her way of thinking is crazy but she makes it so believable that you feel like you must be crazy to be rooting for her. Ambiguous ending but I liked it.
You know sometimes when you read a book and you know who the bad guy is, but you are kind of rooting for them? But things get twisty when the plan backfires and better people get caught up in bad people doing bad things? It’s manipulation and lies at their finest. This book got me saying, “No … I mean that’s not right? Wellllll, they kind of deserved it, but it seems harsh ….” Overall, I liked it.
I haven't enjoyed a book like this in a while. Excellent and with so many cliffhangers at exactly the best parts
