Gideon Bailey is known as the grumpiest player in the NHL, a reputation he wears like a badge of honor. Despite being the biggest star in the league, his disdain for the limelight and abrasive personality have earned him more than a few enemies, both on and off the ice. Living in the Sunshine State doesn't quite match the chill he brings to the rink, and as fans cheer for his on-ice victories, they remain oblivious to the struggles he faces beyond the game.

When a feisty newcomer challenges his tough exterior, Gideon realizes that his life may need more than just winning games. Their sharp banter and unexpected chemistry ignite a spark he never saw coming, forcing him to confront his past and the walls he’s built around himself. As tensions rise and emotions flare, Gideon must decide whether to let this new connection in or remain in his familiar, lonely rut.
