This is the story if how four-year-old Bobby Maitland vanished in Hyde Park from under the very eyes of his nurse. Efforts to trace him were unavailing. Shortly afterwards two men were found dead in a locked room in an inn in Hampshire. A jury returned a verdict of murder and suicide. The daughter of the man said to be the murderer refused to believe her father's guilt.
