I didn't dislike Lift as much as a lot of others seemed to but I do understand the annoyance.I did find that she experienced some growth in this book and it was necessary for Sanderson to write given the plans to make her more central to the plot in future. It also was good to get some more lore around other shardbearers in the world of Roshar.
Meant to read before Oathbringer, but was on a roll and just well... didnt. Glad i took the time before the main series progressed too far to read this and next dawnshard though. Lift may be one of the most interesting, unique, and fun characters in the whole series so I'm glad she got more background. Very much had the whimsical energy of Hoid that we love witbout so much of the godly immortal mystique and you really get to see the growth just in this short novella
