This manual is a resource for all teachers and trainers who wish to develop the thinking ability of their students. Focused and Constructive thinking skills are the key to future learning for life. They enable far more efficient use of limited knowledge and intelligence. Traditional Critical Thinking is no longer adequate in a rapidly changing world. Traditional ‘argument’ and ‘debate’ are non constructive and do not explore information fully, or generate creative solutions. Focused or Parallel thinking, on the other hand, enables all participants to explore information objectively and constructively. Thinking is a skill that can be greatly enhanced with just a little practice. It is the age of access to information and thinking is the skill which enables assessment, adaptation and application of that information.
