Inspector Buddy Wells had waged war on drug dealers in San Francisco for years, with little success. Then he was offered a chance to take the battle to the source. He recruited a small army of veteran street cops, and-with unlimited funds and no legal restraints=they headed for a sleepy Mexican village in the foothills of the Sierra Madre.

There, where poppy fields and processing labs abounded, a handful of families controlled the profitable heroin trade. Wells and his men were out to destroy them-and to end, once and for all, the flow of the deadly drug into the States!
