Xeno's Paradox

Fast-paced science fiction story set eight hundred years in the future. The earth has undergone only modest changes in technology. Even language remains unchanged from the mid-21st century, though there has been a dramatic drop in population. Somehow progress came to an end, and the present is expressed in tedious circularity. Two university lecturers are determined to find out what is interfering with human cultural and political growth by raiding the highly classified historical archives. Luca and Theo first discover they are genetic twins but – impossibly – born of separate parents. And are they somehow compelled to carry out this dangerous mission that puts them in direct conflict with the authorities? One thing is certain. Something else is intervening in their lives, and they believe they could be a part of a program inserted into a reality that is not completely convincing. But it is definitely dangerous for them. It could be deadly.
