描述
In the heart of 1930s Paris, a seventeen-year-old Jewish immigrant named Hershel Greenspan navigates the complexities of his precarious existence. Coming from a modest background in Poland, he embodies vulnerability mixed with determination. His striking appearance contrasts sharply with the harsh realities of a world marred by rising anti-Semitism.
Hershel's journey takes a fateful turn when he purchases a pistol, a symbol of his escalating desperation and desire for justice. With the weight of his community’s struggles pressing down on him, he embarks on a daring mission to the German embassy, driven by a powerful urge to confront the oppressive forces threatening his people.
As he delves deeper into this treacherous path, Hershel finds himself torn between ideals of resistance and the frailty of his own youth. The story unfolds in a rich tapestry of political tension, personal sacrifice, and the quest for identity amidst the chaos of a world on the brink, revealing the profound lengths to which a young man will go to seek retribution and honor his heritage.
