For a historical/political/science fiction novel about time travel, I expected to be bored to tears reading this. But I was wrong and had a great time.
Ok I am not going to lie. I definitely skimmed several sections of this book. It could have been shorter. But it is fascinating and there are some really good lessons. The past is obdurate. Good intentions don't prevent chaos. You can't save everyone. Live in the present. I am not a Kennedy buff at all so I bet this would be more meaningful to someone who was more familiar with what actually happened. I was doing some googling at times, but it was so long that I was just getting through it. It was good so I didn't even contemplate DNFing. I also went back and forth between kindle and audio for literally months in between other books. It is a trek but worth it.Also, alternate ending idea: Jake lets the world burn to be with Sadie. 🤷🏻♀️ What can I say? I am a dark romance girl at heart.
