Not the worst book I have ever read, some nice characterisation, but I think it suffered somewhat from trying to belong to too many genres; fantasy, sci-tech, romance; it just never really seemed to slot neatly into any one genre and failed a little at belonging to several instead.I would recommend it, but just don't expect one specific type of book.
