Sometimes, to find the light, a man must first step into the darkness.

An army marches on the city of Celes, one come not to fight but to kill, not to conquer but to destroy. An army not just of men but of monsters, abominations shaped by cruel magic. And at their head stands the greatest commander ever to walk the face of the world.

Outmatched and outnumbered, the wanderer and his companions are forced to find allies where they may, looking to the criminal elements of Celes and to an ancient sect of assassins who, for the last several hundred years, have hidden in secret tunnels beneath the great city.
