The first 40% of this book was a struggle to get through because it was all sex, no plot, and felt a bit like a bad porno. Then we got to the weird arc of <spoiler> will they won't they between her and Apollo while Caspen was being a moody jealous weirdo in the corner or just disappearing </spoiler> We got more about basilisk society but what we got was just <spoiler> Tem uncomfy because she was being not so subtly pushed into "being more basilisk" by Caspen </spoiler> which did give me an ick. The last like 30% of this book was when stuff actually happened and then the last 10% had me crying because while <spoiler>I didn't like him for most of this book because he was a moody jealous dick....he ended up sacrificing himself so Leo could live but then in turn Tem hurts equally as much because SHE FREAKING LOVES YOU EQUALLY the ritual literally proved that one.</spoiler> Sorry for the amount of spoilers this review is blocking....I have a lot of thoughts.
