Divinos Rivais

This book had me in a chokehold!!Once again, Rebecca Rss succeeded in getting me hooked on every one of her words. There is sooooo much to unpack.First of all, the characters and plot:Iris, my bbg, she has my complete heart. Reading her letters, her worries and fears... I just wanted to hug her tight and tell her it would all be alright. Roman has made me realise that I might never find someone who yearns for me as much as he does. Especially in the last few chapters!! Though I would've liked to read about the moment he decided to pursue Iris (I'm trying to go spoiler-free without mentioning major plot points)Plot-wise, I found it pretty interesting. The whole myth with Dacre & Enva. I remembered their cameo in Wild Reverence, but hearing more about the history was very refreshing. The one thing that confused me was the era of the world. Is it roughly the early 1900s? Is it like steampunk? Or maybe I didn't pick it up. Most of all, the ending had me losing my shit. I'm considering sending my therapy bills to Rebecca after that ending. I didn't finish the book; the book FINISHED me. The only comfort that is keeping me going is the fact that book 2 is already released. Otherwise, I would've been deceased.

É um romance com pitadas de fantasia e pitadas de romance de guerra. Não é um livro ruim, me vi entretida na história e esperando os acontecimentos que se seguiriam,mas tenho alguns pontos estressantes durante a leitura: a falta de urgência dos personagens, principalmente em momento de perigo, toda vez q Iris começava a descrever detalhes enquanto tinha 2 min pra resolver tudo era como unhas arranhando na lousa, os clichês, é um livro com bastante clichês românticos e embora eu até goste, seria legal algo diferente. A demora pra revelação das cartas demorou tanto q a raiva da personagem durando um dia ainda foi muito. Enfim, não é minha melhor leitura, mas foi divertido de certa forma, estarei indo atrás da continuação pq quero saber se vai haver algum desenvolvimento na história dos deuses e sua guerra.
