Among the main film quartet, Catching Fire was a film that captivated me moment by moment and remained unforgettable to me forever; for this reason, I was veryyy looking forward to read this book, and just as I thought, I liked this book very much. This book has a big difference from the previous book, and that is that almost half the book happens before the announcement of the games. Details that, like the first book, I didn't see in the films, made the story much more logical.Another issue regarding the relationship between Katniss and Peeta; the films did a lot of underwork in many cases because many of the flaws that film audiences pointed out regarding the relationship between these two were not at all in the book and were due to changes that were made. For example, in the films, in the time period between the end of the Victory Tour, where Katniss returned home until the announcement of the next games, they showed it as if Katniss and Gale were in a relationship and constantly expressed feelings to each other, whereas in the book it was not like this at all, but (except for a kiss from Gale, which Snow even used to blackmail Katniss) Katniss really didn't make a decision during that time, but her heart always leaned heavily towards Peeta, and as they moved towards the other games, everything became clear. (And sorry, but she is just a 16-17 year old girl who is responsible for a family on her shoulders, and the only thing that has been important to her for years is simply providing for her family). The Katniss of the book, from the moment her eyes fell on a boy at school who one day saved her and her family from dying due to hunger, something came into her heart for that boy that gradually grew more and more.In short, I am angry that the films made many changes to the relationship of this couple that did not exist.

In the sequel, Suzanne Collins dives even deeper into the inner works behind the dystopian regime, revealing the restriction of the freedom of speech or self expression and the means of power and fear that the Capitol uses to silence any unrest. How the preexisting unsatisfaction with the government amongst the poorer or more industrialised districts just needed a spark to revolt against the government. Katniss Everdeen with her acts of defiance against the Capitol and her Mockingjay were just the spark before the great fire, the catalyst that led to a nationwide uprising.
