This is an interesting entry to the series. You get to see the characters hesitation of the crossing lines as it pertains to their actraction and how that can inpact Grip's relationship with Rhyson as well as conversations about race in a very nuanced way.
okay i was loving this ... until the ending. because no. bristol with her “one life but plenty of second chances” then saying at the end “i don’t give second chances” girl WHAT !!! she has every right to be pissed yes but come on let’s not be hypocritical ✋🏼
Ho amato questa novella, era in attesa sul mio Kindle da mesi, ma aspettavo di leggerla quando avrei avuto tra le mani il secondo volume della serie. La storia inizia con il primo incontro tra i due protagonisti e da subito il lettore viene catapultato nella storia e può sentire l’attrazione che c’è tra i due. La cosa che lo differenzia da altri romanzi, è che nonostante la chimica i due protagonisti passano il tempo a parlare e a conoscersi , cosa che in molti romanzi viene saltata per dare libero sfogo alla relazione. Qui le cose procedono con calma, ma non annoia il lettore, anzi si ritrova a leggere una storia bella e leggera. Il colpo di scena finale mi ha spiazzata moltissimo, sono rimasta senza parole tant'è che ho già aperto la prima pagina del secondo volume.
